LA Galaxy Look to End Season on High Note
With the 2025 MLS regular season winding down, the LA Galaxy will host Minnesota United FC in their final match on Saturday, October 18. The Galaxy, who won the MLS Cup just a year ago, have struggled mightily this campaign and sit at the bottom of the Western Conference standings.
Despite their disappointing season, the Galaxy will be looking to send their fans home happy on "Fan Appreciation Night" at Dignity Health Sports Park. The first 15,000 fans in attendance will receive a special Dia de los Muertos bobblehead giveaway.
Minnesota United Eyeing Playoff Position
In contrast, Minnesota United are fighting to secure a favorable playoff position in the crowded Western Conference. The Loons currently sit in third place, but are aiming to climb even higher in the final standings.
"We want to finish as high in the table as we can, we want to do ourselves real justice in that sense," said Loons manager Eric Ramsay. "We've been in and around second and third for most of the year, and haven't been below where we are now. So I think it would be remiss of us to not treat it as though it's the incredibly important game that I think it is."
