Roster Revealed for Boston Fleet Training Camp
The Boston Fleet have announced their training camp roster for the upcoming 2025-26 Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) season. The camp, which kicks off on November 10th at the Boston Sports Institute, will feature 32 players as the Fleet look to build on their young franchise's early success.
"As we enter our third season, we're proud of the training camp roster we've assembled," said Fleet general manager Danielle Marmer. "Each player was selected with a clear vision of how they can contribute to our goal of competing for a Walter Cup championship."
The Fleet will look to key returnees like forward Taylor Heise and defenseman Britta Curl-Salemme to provide veteran leadership. Heise and Curl-Salemme both starred for the Minnesota team that reached the Walter Cup Finals last spring, narrowly falling to the Ottawa franchise.
Marquee Matchups on the Horizon
One highly anticipated matchup on the early PWHL schedule will be the first meeting between Ottawa and Minnesota since their epic Walter Cup Finals clash. The memories of that nail-biting championship series, featuring end-to-end action and clutch performances, are sure to still be fresh.
While both teams lost some talent to expansion, they each still boast impressive rosters. In addition to Heise and Curl-Salemme, Ottawa will continue to rely on the stellar goaltending of Gwyneth Philips, who was named MVP of last year's Finals.
