Packers Look to Build Momentum Against Cardinals

Strong Second-Half Surge Fuels Packers' Comeback Win

The Green Bay Packers are riding high after a come-from-behind victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6. Trailing late in the fourth quarter, rookie wide receiver Matthew Golden emerged as a clutch target, hauling in a 31-yard reception on a crucial third down to set up a game-sealing field goal.

"I think it's all the stuff that he's done since he got here in practice that gives you that confidence in him," said quarterback Jordan Love. "Obviously sometimes the game doesn't always show, but it's all the work he's put in behind the scenes, understanding the game plan inside and out."

The Packers will look to build on that momentum as they head to Arizona to take on the Cardinals in Week 7. However, their backfield may be shorthanded, as star running back Josh Jacobs is listed as questionable with an undisclosed injury.

Packers Aiming to Avoid Late-Game Defensive Lapses

One area of concern for the Packers has been their tendency to struggle defensively in the fourth quarter. Despite their offensive firepower, Green Bay has had trouble closing out games, an issue they'll need to address against the high-powered Cardinals.

"Probably staying ahead of the sticks" has been the key, head coach Matt LaFleur said. "It's the same stuff we emphasize all the time is just trying to stay on schedule and being in those third-down-and-manageables or stay out of the third down altogether; that's probably the very crucial counter to that."

Injury Updates and Roster Moves

In addition to Jacobs' uncertain status, the Packers will also be without wide receiver Christian Watson, who has been ruled out for Week 7. The team did receive some positive news, however, as wide receiver Jayden Reed returned to practice this week after missing time with a collarbone injury.
